bare metaled a few bmx years ago,the best was my hoffman deebo,again make sure you clean it proper before laqcer,the patina after a few months looks great,they kinda dull but stay looking metal :twisted:

think the loads of very thin coats will work best

A good way to get bare metal to rust is to spray it with Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner, sounds silly but check out what happens to your brake discs on your car after using it on your wheels. Ive used it to help 'rust' a few things for my VW camper
