Will I snap a pace frame being a fat bloke

just like to add on I've seen a pace break at the BB shell ,as in seperating from the rest of the frame..

damien from the channel islands, pm me if you're out there ;)

desperatly attempts to stifle a childish giggle and fails abysmaly mwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah....ahem.

Ok so if i get one it will be for light use and posing i guess.

Actually not sure how strong the Cannondale frame i have is either , its a 1.5 head tube but its wall thickness is thinish especially compared to a SC Chameleon. Thing is I want the strength of steel the speed of allly and the weight of Ti but it always comes back to buying a Chameleon, a Stiffeeeee or P7. Nobody seems to make my ideal bike, those muppets at SC ruined the Chameleon with the eccentric BB....madness sheer madnesss

I love the ride and light weight of the Hei Hei through the woods but thought a pace would be stiffer.

if ya that worried stick to steel frameslike an orange or something similar...perhaps a cheapie to thrash and a gq bike to gently pootle about on?good excuse to own more than just the one bike. :D

Just get one!

Kestonian just had to watch my RC300 belting away from him on a trail and ended up buying one! :)

Ahem. I don't deny it's a nice bike but I haven't been able to snag an RC300 yet.

However, I do have an RC100 and an RC200 in the stable now

And as I recall, the direction you were heading was back to the car park after 2 laps of the bike while I powered my way to 11th place ....

IF you really want a Pace buy one. I'm sure you won't regret it, but don't expect it to be as strong as a steel frame or anywhere near as compliant, they're as stiff as a stiff thing in a being stiff competition, which could be the problem thinking about it.

I only recounted my memories, cos you asked for opinions. I'd have a Pace tomorrow despite of their frailty if I could justify one (and it didn't have to be my only bike). :D
