Whyte PRST-1

For auction my much loved Preston. Purchased from new in June 2001, this bike was regularly used and serviced for two years. Following the arrival of children in 2003, it's only managed an average of two rides per year.

This is the top of the range bike upgraded with Mavic Crossroc tubeless wheels and Hope Minis from new. Included in the auction is the original purchase receipt and all of the owner's manuals, CD and magazine reviews.

The bike shows the signs of wear that you'd expect with scuffs and grazes but no dings in the frame. The only injury worthy of note is the split in the saddle; caused by an ill-timed boot slam.

Both shocks were rebuilt, tuned, serviced and given new bushings by TF Tuned in 2010 and have only seen two outings since.

This bike is worthy of so much more than dust gathering so needs a better home.

Specification:

Frame: 18.5" [medium - fits me well and I'm 5'11" with a 32" inside leg]
Travel: 100mm - front and rear

Shift Levers: Shimano XT
Crankset: Shimano XT
Front Mech: Shimano XT
Rear Mech: Shimano XT
Cassette: Shimano XT
Brakes: Hope Mini

Wheels: Mavic Crossroc Tubeless [both run true and round but the rear could do with a regreased hub]
Tyres: Continental Vertical Pro 2.3" tubeless front and rear [note that in the granny ring there's some tyre rub on the chain when in the lowest gear as the rear tyre should really be a 2.1" but for the added grip and traction I've squeezed the 2.3 in]

Bars: Easton Carbon Monkey Lite 8 degree sweep, 625mm wide
Saddle: SDG Comp Bel Air with titanium rails
Shocks: Fox Float R - both rebuilt, tuned and serviced by TF Tuned in 2010

Any questions please do ask.
