I knew a guy who liked taking pictures of old rally fords and would show them on a forum . He got a bit pissed when a magazine or two used a few small ones to fill space and asked for a fee , which is fair enough but once they are out there in public domain it's anybodys .

not quite so. my mate is a photographer. he did some pics of an event and forwarded some to the eventholder. they put them on facebook and the local newspaper lifted them off there.

he sucsessfully sued them for it.

A friend of mine created a high resolution quality logo for an RSS button on his website, he then noticed from his traffic logs that another site had stolen it (a UK custom car website if memmory serves). He simply replaced the image with one of the same resolution and file name, but showing some rather indescent gay porn images.

As the other website had simply hot linked the image, as soon as he set it up it appeared on the other website. Much to his amusement as the forums on the other site started to go crazy

if she is 15 in that picture then i'm a lotto winner

Indeed! There were no 15 year olds at my school who looked like that!

If of course she was, then can my Lotto win be tonight's Euromillions!
