looks like a mixed spec etc, i'm not to familiar with klein's but i think it's a trek owned klein isn't it. also the spec isn't just mixed, it's roadie style with no rear brake and no front mech/rings etc, so whoever buys it would have to do somekind of work to it depending on what they want.

think he'd be better off splitting it.

Kinda like buying a Ford-built Jaguar; just not the same as a 61 E-Type.

Well yeah, but you can say that about practically every car out there today.

In any case I'd rather have a ford-built Jag over any Leyland / BMC etc era stuff...

You've got to give it to Ford, they may not make great cars themselves, but they certainly give the support and funding to help others do so.

The turn around of Jaguar and Aston from where they were, to where they are, is phenomenal.

And the companies are left pretty much to their own devices and independence. Very different say, to the set-up with VW/Audi/Porsche and Fiat/Ferrari/Maserati etc etc...

I'm with the view that it just needs too much altering to suit. Personally I would add sus forks and switch the saddle and wheels/tyres. £650 does seem a tad steep but then the bike was worth a fair bit new..

That said if I was purely commuting on it I would leave well alone, I bet the thing really shifts on the road :)
