After this thread about the bonkers Pioneer Hifi of the late 1970's/ early '80's,

I thought I'd reminisce about their equally mad car hifi:

After receiving a mint Pioneer KEX-73, here are some images I thought you'd appreciate (the French just love it!)

if you can speak french:

Just been given a SA-508 amp and I am now a confirmed brushed silver finish fanboi. Love watching the little blue lights flicking on and off :D

It's not Pioneer, but I fell for the brushed silver/glowing lights look when I bought a 1980 vintage Sony analogue tuner from eBay... 8)

Mmmmm got a Rotel RT-324 tuner hooked up to it at the mo for more brushed aluminium with glowing lights action.

I have a Pioneer PL-512 record deck.
Needs a new stylus though, I'll get round to it one day.
It belonged to my parents who threw the Trio amp, Pioneer tape deck and Wharfedale speakers out. I managed to rescue the record player.

I don't have any pioneer kit but I do have a Quad 33 pre amp + Quad 405 power amp. I do love retro hifi.

LGF your collection is insane.
