I had this bright idea to strip a 91 Cannondale and polish the bejesus out of it.
Turns out the metal under the paint really isn't that tidy

Oh I have many many hours ahead with wet and dry

Why does polished look so good?

You could get a powdercoat for £30-40.

Go for battleship grey and black decals. Hardcore 8)

Polish it and youll be polishing it for the rest of your life
Powdercoat it aand its a once a week wipe with some wax polish :D

yeah, but there is something so satisfying about polishing.. :)

do it, stick at it, use a powertool and speeds things right up

There's a polishing thread on here started by me that came up with some interesting idea's.

Most people were against using nachines to polish!
I machine polished some M730 style cranks, then lacquered them, they've come up really good! Although they will only be suitable for use with SPD's as I would imagine they would scuff easily.

I polished a part of a GT yesterday and lacquered it yesterday so I'll see what thats like in a minute.
