Who needs 10

dont know where i got this from. is it true that shimano now reccomend you change your chainrings/chain/cassette every 3 months or did i just dream it? if so and we go 10 speed its going to be every 3 weeks!

I think I'd prefer 9spd on my cross bike.

9spd seems perfectly adaquate, I'd hope they realise that and stay there for mtbs.

Don't tell anyone, but I've been hoarding 9 speed Ultegra and Dura-Ace STis for some time now, for that very reason....

But for an MTB I can see what the extra sprocket could be used for.
