Who has snow?

I went for a nice mountainbike ride/push/fall off today!!!

horrible here. started to melt yesterday afternoon then froze overnight. footpaths like a skating rink,scary. i hate it when its like this,at least fresh snow is possible to get around in.
every step i take i expect to fall on my backside.

We had a holiday to Tromso Jan 09, Northern Norway to see the northern lights. Up there I saw workers spraying roads with water overnight to turn them to ice again once it had worn through with traffic and only about 50% of cars had studded tyres the rest had winter tyres (which worked very well according to the taxi driver).

Anyway I digress, the locals had a funny shuffle walk, just slide your feet along as if you're cross country skiing... I won't pretend I didn't fall over but it did work for the most part.

i may try that,wont look any dafter than i already do. thaw would be best tho.
