Who can tell me which model of GT this titanium frame is? I've never seen before.

It's one of the most intriguing things I've seen on here for ages....
Yes. Shame it’s gone back into the warehouse. Without proof of provenance, it’s not going to be accepted as a ‘true’ GT, but either way it would be a shame for someone not to build it up and enjoy it .

Those brake bosses are GT style (not Xizang though)

The seat tube slot is on the front like a Zaskar. As the Xizang and Lightning are on the rear.

That brake bridge plate is 93-95.

The inner dropout has the machined cut out which is 95.

Apart from the lack of gussets on the headtube and the end cap being round. It is like a Zaskar but Ti.

Again…. Where is this frame in the world?

I think it was 95/96 when GT was playing around with the Lynx

This however has the hallmarks of Ti Gt frames that we know. It’s kind of like a Xizang front triangle , modified and then the LtS alloy rear.

As this “Zaskar” is the right shapes. But isn’t screaming GT to me. But it’s too good for a home made job.

I love the fact that whoever made this probably was pissing themselves at some retrobike nerds in 30 years time trying to work out what it is.

Lower quality titanium wouldn't be heavier - the weight just means they've used more of it!
I don't think it's been sloppily made/welded either, it's a quality job. It just lacks the cosmetic neatness we're accustomed to in many commercial frames
Didn't know that thought it would be heavier with more impuritys learn something everyday were have they used more thicker tubes so in that case makes it more expensive to make

Looks like classic neat Tech Shop welding there. Quite different from this Ti 'Zaskar' as you say
