Which would you save first ?

Picture the terrible scene - your house is being flooded / attacked by aliens / about to be flattened by a twister. Once you've saved your loved ones which bikes would you be saving? Would you be pulling out your faithful retro rides? Or saving your modern bikes which get ridden day in day out?

Having given it some thought I think I'd rescue the following
1st - Yo Eddy
2nd - Good (non-retro) road bike
3rd - Good (non-retro) mtb
4th - Bonty

After that I'm not too fussed.

the twister thing is fairly realistic if you live in Birmingham

I have a special ejector seat installed, 1 flick & the roof flips off, the bikes fly into the air & safely parachute down to safety

unsure what year this was. there used to be a specialized ad, where an earthquake had collasped a roof, the rockhopper underneath, its fork mangled, but the frame intact.. dunno if it was staged or not?

I chose my bikes because they are undestructable

My bikes are in the shed in the garden, aliens don't visit sheds so they will be save. Flood concerning, the shed is from timber and since the retrobikes are hanging from the ceiling they will float, the non retrobikes will only get wet since they're locked to the ground.

remember that ad, wasn't it great..think it was either 89 or 90...true story but not too sure if the photo was staged or not...great advertising though!

In this event we would hide in the cellar as it's the safest place.

And since the bikes are there, it seems a pity to move them really....

But if we lived in another house and I didn't save the De Rosa first, the wife would kill me as I rode 165km to our wedding on it....
