Which Retro MTB suspension forks?

I know it's a lot to ask but:
Does anyone know of any retro sus forks that are reliable and you can get spares for. I'd not want to buy something and regret it because spares are few and far between. Also what is the compatibility between retro and modern forks. E.g say if I needed to change the seals on some old Judys, could I use the modern Sid seals?

Sorry about this but I have absolutely no idea how different forks work. :?

In my opinion there is no greater looking fork than a Pace, and especially the Pace RC36 Evo 2(with the gold anodised sliders). Spares are easily available(justbackdated and Pace themselves) and they seem to work really well to boot. Cant loose.....

Ditto on the RC36, style and performance in one sweet package.

My RC36 evo II is still going strong after 11 odd years though admittedly it is not used every week these days. How much and what type of riding do you do? The Pace to me is a relatively skinny XC fork, though steel stanchions mean it can take a beating. I've had Marzocchi Bombers too that were pretty much bombproof and probably more common with many LBS able to (help) maintain them.

Enjoy!!

Pace RC36. 8) They track well, they're beautifully made (and don't seem to suffer from the variable build quality of the later forks).
They're light weight and work well and you can get all the service parts and spares from Tim. (justbackdated)

I've just refurbed a set of Judy's & I'm still getting used to how c@@p they are in comparison. The quality of materials and build of the Pace forks are in a different league.

Marzocchi seals don't seem to have changed much over the years - rebuit my Z3's with stock parts last year.
It all depends on how old your bike is I guess as to what you pick.

I do general XC riding so the Pace sound great. I was thinking of going rigid but after riding sus for a month (no aching wrists), I'm edging toward suspension. They are stunning looking forks and if the spares are available...
I'll keep my eye out for some.

SO what would a choice for those of us outside of the UK that haven't even seen a pace fork??
