I have some photo's that I need to manipulate into a form that can be printed as stickers..

I'm (barely) ok with photoshop but is there a better option??

Photoshop is perfect for photographs.
If you are dealing with solid shapes like logos, Illustrator is the one to use.
If it's for layout it's InDesign.

If I was creating stickers with photos on I would get the image right in Photoshop, Create any necessary graphics in Illustrator and put it together and add text in InDesign. I would use InDesign to create a high resolution PDF to send to the printing company.

All would be done using the CMYK colour mode.

Hope that helps. :D

The stickers will be repro bike decals (if I'm significantly less crap that currently  ) so not photo's . . . I have photo's to work from though..

There's Gimp which is freeware and multi-platform.

It's very capable, too - albeit perhaps not as intuitive as more mainstream payware.

For decals/stickers you're better off with a vector based package, Illustrator or Corel spring to mind. You can do it in PShop, stick to the vector tools though.
