Where to Go? (trail centre , camping ideas )

The Derwen trail at Brechfa is perfect for someone new to MTB, I took my GF out there a few weeks ago and she really enjoyed it. Lovely flowing sections through woods and even some berm action on the last descent

Abergorlech & Raven trails there (Red & Black) better than anything I've ridden at Afan or Coed y Brenin...lots of climbing though and shorter but the technical downhill sections more than make up for it...trails actually worthy of the red and black labels!

Afan always good for longer rides and it does have a proper trail centre which means nice food at the end!

After looking at the forecast for tomorrow and the weekend I'm quite glad I'm not going to MM!

Perhaps a bit more southern, but how about Oxfordshire?

Lots of bridleways/cycleways and stuff, plus several absolutely magic campsites on the Thames.

Of course, you could also hire a canoe, and sleep on some of the islands. But that's a different adventure.

Brechfa is fab, make sure you pop in for a cuppa
You could always just ride the fire roads at Afan? i think you can make a loop out of them :roll:
