Isn't that the point of anything retro, celebrating (or clinging, as you word it) past glory, be it bikes or riders? Surely that's what this whole site is about, right, or am I missing something? I think that T-Shirt is great, and if you were referring to the only Brit named on the T-Shirt, then yes, all we can do is 'cling' to his former glory as he's no longer with us.

Doh forgot Mcroy was a Brit (I know that is tantamount to a sin on this site)!
I was thinking it was a list of famous American riders from the past and was making a joke about the parallels.
