After taking apart some miche pedals for servicing, the key on the keyed washer on the axle has sheared off and I now cannot put the pedals back together.
Does anyone know where I could get some keyed washers from for replacing them, the axle was roughly 8mm diameter so I think its an M8 thread, although it may actually be an imperial thread.
I searched for keyed washers in this size, but drew a blank.
Mini rant. Keyed washers are completely useless. When they're used on headsets you can't get then tight enough that they don't unscrew, when used on axles they have too much play so you cant accurately set the bearing preload, and when used on pedals they strip like in this case (which is why most pedals have a squared off axle and then a washer with two flats which works much better). I am yet to see a useful application of them.
