Where can I find this??

I remmemberway back in the day sometime between 1991-1993 one of the american mountainbike mags had a titanium feature. They tested Dean Titanium, Alpinestar Ti-Mega and a Merlin with the most insane front fork Ive ever seen. I think it was a rigid with a trinagle shape "thingy" construction at the front. I cant find the mag or a pic of it, the closest one I have found is the one in the pic below.
however its not the one Im thinking of. Does any one by chance know what I am talking about? I remmember the article had also a custom made child merlin mtb in it if that helps.

Any one out there who knows? ive gone through the merling cat. online but nothing there...

I think it's an AMP you mean. My friend has a bike shop and just sold one for 200 Danish crowns (about £20!!) If I had known he was selling it I would have grabbed it.

Here's a pic of it if it's the one you mean.

i know the one that you are talking about, however its not that one. The one I am talkning about is a rigid fork, although the amp one is nice one as well.

Ive photoshoped my merlin to make it look something like that to give you guys a better idea, it looked roughly like that but i cant remmember all the details perfectly since it was such a long time ago. it might have been on one of the elevator models.

Please note that im NOT claiming that my merlins got one of these forks, THIS A PHOTOSHOPED PIC to give a better idea.

Ashok made a nice Merlin web site

They called it the "Girder" fork

IIRC it was a prototype fork that was done by Merlin because they thought a traditional style fork was impossible in Ti, so they designed that one.

I've got the artcal somewhere in an old MBA, i'll try and dig it out.

mate thats the one, i saw a guy abou 15 yrs ago riding one of those, american guy. thats awsome did it ever go to production?
