WHERE ARE THEY NOW......?

This particular DB was nicked. Roberts was ram raided and that was one of the bikes they took.

@7Speed Yes a Formula 1 fork. We were friends with Adam at Roberts who owned the bike above. He sold another set of F1 forks to my mate for his DB. He still has both the frame and forks.
I Love to hear from him....😇

Yep. This one’s been ongoing since the late 80s when I couldn’t find one so bought a 1988 model (which I still have).

1987 Stumpjumper Team. Yes, it’s a Specialized, yes it was there in a thousand catalogue pics - but the 87 Teams were built by Dave Tesch. He and Specialized reportedly had an agreement/order that he couldn’t fulfill. And so they are hyper rare. Two I’ve found evidence for: 1. The catalogue bike. 2. A fuzzy pic of one that was apparently stolen from a guy in the US.

(There must be at least another out there - it’s the only bike left that I hanker after - have a look, cash waiting - over there behind the Studebaker project, next to the broken chainsaw, under that old tarp - no the yellow one ……)

That's got to be one of Specializeds finest and rarest bikes.

I think it came free with MBUK one month. I had this up on my bedroom wall as Tim Gould was a big hero of mine. I knew they weren't real Peugeots underneath the paint and decals and at the bottom of the seat tube/bottom bracket you can just about make out the CR (Chas Roberts) logo.

I feel very blessed to actually have one of Tim's old bikes (originally owned by @doctor-bond , then @biglev 's)
