The date of retro has been fixed at 97 because of major changes to bikes around that time. Better FS and V-brakes being the main ones I think. So while your frame is probably retro it will have to stay in the 98+ section cos thats not going to change

I have one of similar vintage. It's superb to ride to this day! Sadly underused, though. Pondering selling it. :-(

Nice bike! I've had a few (inc the carbon version) and they were fantastic bikes in their time.

Outclassed these days, but a good buy for 150.
