When H Lloyd comes up short...

...where do you fellas look next for decals?

I'm after some Ian May decals at the mo. Now I know that Ian Mays are pretty rare, only turning up every now and then, but is this any reason for H Lloyd not to stock the exact headtube decal I'm after?

For the sake of completeness, this is the chap I'm after (image pinched off of Google, not my bike):

Ideas? Hopeless cause?

Cheers guys, I'll check it out... my only issue, then, is sourcing a proper un-knackered picture of the headtube decal, Mine's got a mighty chunk ripped out of the middle.

Hadn't even thought of the one-off decal avenue, so cheers for that!

So you still have a head badge then ??

Get some tracing paper and fix it over the knackered head badge and tape down securely and then get tracing the badge in pencil! Remove the paper and touch in any knackered parts, then forward that tracing with sizes to a decal maker.

Excellent advice again - thanks!

Yes, I have most of the head badge and can probably recreate the missing bits from the web - although there's precious few pics of Ian May bikes out there and most of those that are online have drop bars cunningly obscuring the badge!

I had no idea that there were bespoke decal makers out there. It's a wonderful world!

When you say the seller didn't rip you off, what kind of money were you paying (if that's not an impertinent question!)?

I got him to make me some Alfredo Gios signatures in chrome gold, Had four sets made and cost me about £10 including the postage

If their not in the H Lloyd catalogue then email or phone Nick and he will get them made.

Yep they can custom make so long as you give them something to work with

Hi Guys,

So, I've trawled the Internet for a better image of the Ian May Cycle Specialist logo and I've found one that's way better than the one ^^^^^ in terms of visibility. My graphic designer buddy is confident he can recreate the logo from the dimensions I give him plus assorted pics. Here's the badge:

Just one more question - since this is black & white with no show through am I okay to get printed on a vinyl from a print shop, or do I have to go through a H Lloyd type company, which will have the proper materials?

Cheers,
Don
