Is there anywhere in the UK that sells Wheelsmith spokes. I wish to build up a wheel or two with them. All I seem to find is DT and ACI (I don't know ACI ?)

Bitd I would pop down to my lbs and pick up some, now I'm an internet buyer ;) but doubt the lbs would have them anymore.

I think Merlin Cycles used to use ACI and they were famous for their good wheels, so I doubt you'll go far wrong with them and they're probably cheaper than equivalent grades of DT.

£25/wheel for black DT Revolution from CR seems a hell of a lot to me. And they want £15/wheel even for black plain-gauge DT Champion!

:( not going to bother to get them shipped over here. It's not that important.

I just really like the way they (WS) do the abrupt butting, DT are just so boring and I never liked them much bitd.

Merlin still use ACI as their default spoke (on the wheel builder).

i hate aci spokes there just so nasty to use wheel smith spokes are as good as dt but so expencive due to shipping and if yo buy black spokes its gonna cost 15p more per spoke any way no matter what brand you use 8)

why would I want black... only black back in retro land was the mud on the spokes :D
Sorry, I was cheating there, but I still think DT is expensive, even for silver. Whenever anything has a name, you pay for the name.
