I'm sure I've got a STX wheelset tucked away that I can do cheap. Have to check it's 8 speed STX though when I get home

good questions. I don't have the frame with me at the moment so I can't measure it. Any ideas? Could even be 126mm I guess.

Paint job indicates pre-135

You can respace a shimano hg8 to 130, but will need to redish the wheel.
This frame though could probably be reset with very little risk

Well this is a STX 8 speed wheelset I have spare but I also have a LX 7 speed wheelset with 130mm spare if needed.
