I bought these for the rims mostly, but since moving house and having a baby, priorities have rightly changed, so I'm going to be doing less bike building and more parenting, so various parts will be up for grabs, as are these wheels.
They are silver Ritchey Vantage sport rims in 32H laced to Exage HB-RM50 hubs front and rear. The rims are in excellent condition as the pics hopefully show, no dents or dings, perfectly straight and true, and aside from a few small marks, fairly minty. Rear brake surface has slightly more wear than the front, but both rims have plenty of meat left on their bones and will more than likely go on for thousands and thousands of miles.
Hubs are in good shape too, and I have stripped and rebuilt them so know the internals prettty well. Front hub bearing surfaces are all good internally, one cone has a slight pit in it, though after the clean up and regrease it runs very smooth. If I wanted to use them in anger, I would swap the cone for a new one, but it runs OK as it is now.
Rear hub is also in good shape - inner bearing surfaces and cones all good - a couple of ball bearings have pitting, so I would swap them out - I only had smaller bearings kicking around so couldn't do this, but again, pretty smooth without this.
Freehub runs well and is nice and clicky.
I'll let the pics do some talking now (excuse the rain in the pics, but at least it shows they are current):
After £50 - NOW £45 - Now £40 posted within the UK. There is a similar set for sale on here for £75 so I think mine are a bargain. I'll throw in a lightly used 7 speed cassettte and a spare front hub - cones on it are sadly shot but the rest may be useful as a match for this wheelset.
I'll also throw in a set of generic black alloy QRs.
