Back when I was a yoof I served my time next to big bonded warehouse. One summer someone broke in through the rear firedoor. They repaired the hole with a chunk of thin plywood which was easily removed with a fine screwdriver. Inside was a wall of pallets containing TNT cider. We made a big hole in that wall that summer until the pallet above colapsed into the doorway. Me and my mates had fridges full of the damn stuff

can't stand cider now as a result of drinking myself stupid with it.

Ditto - cider is a no go area for me too nowadays for similar reasons... And Wagon Wheels definately suck big time.

I'd like to say Cherry Flavoured Pez because Stand By Me is a pretty cool film, but is most likely to be Refreshers, or those Candy Cigs before the red end got taken away so they didn't look to much like the real thing

Hi All,

'fraid we always take a good picnic, bottle of wine, selection of cold meats and cheeses, olives, ciabata.

A good tip is to make sure one is never more that 5 miles from a pub!!!

A man after my own heart. A splendid suggestion sir!

Anything that doesn't melt into a sticky mess.

And nothing with nuts. I hate nuts.

Fruit's good as you don't have to carry the packaging home with you.

Controvertial.

Coming from a mountaineering background, I never leave cores/skins.

Really? Cores I can understand as you may unexpectedly add a new tree variety to the ecosystem but skins?

I feel guilty now as I've left bits of fruit all over Scotland.

I didn't each much cake prior to starting cycling again.... But now I find myself stopping at Delamere visitors centre cafe whenever I'm there for a nice bottle of Fentimens Bontanically Brewed Cola and a home made chocolate muffin.

If I didn't have to drive home from a ride I might sample a local tipple or two.. Sadly I haven't had that pleasure as yet. Eventually I'd probably find myself riding out of the way to find the best ales.

Sort of explained to myself why I don't lose any weight when I've been cycling really.

Whatever happened to Terry's Pyramint?
