What's wrong with purple?

Didn't realise there was a problem with people not liking anodised purple until doing some digging.

My Kona Hahanna in 1993 when I was 14, well I added lots of purple bits, bike was repainted gold / bronze and the purple went well.

Picked up another Hahanna but a 1995 model and thought purple bits would look good.

its your bike to build how you want.

on certain colours, purple ano looks awful - on the right frame it can look good (so long as its not too excessive) but any colour ano can look bad if its against the wrong frame.

there are probably quite a few who don't like my slime green paint & red ano combo on the clockwork but i quite like the whole chicken-pox type look its got so i don't care!

Agree on personal preference Jax, didn't want people thinking the bike looks awful though :)
Not one for following the crowd normally.
The bike is a bronze colour,

It's a marmite colour really. Some like it, some just can't stand it.
Personally, I would never put purple parts on a bike, even though I know it's a 90s colour. My bikes were all dripping in blue ano BITD.

Nothing. I like it. I now a trek road bike carbon tubes and a purple rear triangle head tube and forks. I like it alot. Personally that what I sislike about alot of modern bikes is the paint/grpahics. Older bikes used bright and striking colours and somehow to my eyes it works better.
