Whats this Klein...looks cheap..USA only

Looks a bit like they did a quick touch up before shoting the pic. Hope ther is nothing severe there.

The Fervor was the 'low end' offering in the early 90s Klein line up

the Fervor is the same frame as the Rascal but has a somewhat "cheaper" finish (mainly paint quality). it was introduced in 93/94 when the Pulse line was introduced which took over the Rascal in the line-up. the frame is essentially the same as the MC1 Attitude (which fetches big bucks these day) but with the more convenient 1" head tube.
the chain suck doesn't look too bad. the chain stay is pretty thick there so it would need really deep gauges to weaken it. but difficult to tell from the pic how bad it really is.

price is reasonable but obviously still to high. the candy red paint is sweet but not flashy enough to be much wanted.

cool...i own also a Klein fervor (to be an singlespeed), but i stripped the paint of for a new paintjob...

never knew the history of an fervor..

I really quite fancy this & my brother lives in NY so he could collect and post at a reasonable rate.

BUT - the more I look at the chainsuck the more I've convinced myself there is a crack/weld of some sort running down the stay - am I seeing things?

Is there a weld originally in this area - I doubt it...

no weld in that area. it's the typical chain suck mark which has cut into the chain stay. it's certainly an advanced stage of chain suck but not the worst i have seen. ask for a really good close-up or let your brother have a look at it. plenty of Rascal/Fervors available so there is no need to take a risk...
