I bought this beauty sight unseen via the small ads.
The owner could offer no more information other than it sat in his cellar in a box for 20 years and he built it up with parts form flea markets (but I reckon it's stolen and then re-sprayed).
Under the new black paint on the down tube it's possible to see (but not discern) the capital letters of a brand - it's a long word, possibly "CANNONDALE" or "DIAMOND BACK". There seems to be no sticker on the top tube.

Engraved with "S 99 36415" on seat tube (I thought this was Police encoding, only there is no postcode 36415 in Germany, where I live)
Rear dropout engraved with "80401637".
