whers is a cheap place to get a fox float serviced? i dont really want to pay £80 as i could probably get another shock for that and also i cant afford that. its squelchy in the negative chamber i believe. im in plymouth. do halfords do it? anywhere else that is cheap? alos what is the stroke of my shock, its from a 2001ish gt i drive, its a fox float 165mm i2i

most places charge ~£80 as they usually send it to TFTuned or Mojo

depending on the shock you can buy the seal kit from TFTuned or Mojo for a lot less & DIY, there is a how to on Mojo's site.

but from what ive read i thought the nitrogen charged negative chamber needs professional servicing? also i had a go at servicing the air sleeve yesterday. easy peasy! just unscrews! is that what the seal kit you were refering to?

Yup the seal kits are for the air sleeve

What year is your shock? the Float range has been around for quite some time.

As yours has a nitrogen -ve chamber you will probably have to have it professionally serviced as I don't think you can DIY one of those

A good service will have the shock running better than new & is usually worth the money, they should be able to tune the shock to your bike & weight too

TFTuned would be my choice of pro tuner

its a 2000ish shock i believe. really cant afford the service as much as i would like it done by tftuned

shock stroke is measured as in the top pic
