Any one know what the difference is? nextdaytyres.com have some 2.1 Nobby Nic ORC's which are much cheaper than the EVO version. Have used EVO's before and they are fantastic tyres, don't want to buy ORC's and find out they are crap. Have checked the Schwalbe website and catalogue and can find no reference to them. I understand ORC stands for Offroad Racing Compound.

I just treat myself to my first new tyres in well quite a lot of years. Andy seemed to like his Schwalbe tyres so I bought a pair of EVO 2.25" nobby nics, some snakeskin thing. sad to say snakeskin isn't a patterneing down the sidewalls  I assume it means the tread sheds away halfway up a hill...

Anyways, they look hugh, never had tyres this wide. 2.1" retro tyres are about it for me.

Wife likes the name of them though. Got to fit them and try them out.

Weigh ~580g a tyre.

A quick look at the site you mention would put it as the 2010 model not the pacestar stuff of the new model.

anyway

their discount accumulator isn't a generous as it was when I got mine.
