I'm a brit and saw it as a dig. Maybe you need to work on how you "have a laugh", or perhaps your image on the forum is a bit "moany"?

Over the last few weeks (in General Chat, anyway), yes.

I come here for a laugh (and am for the most part entertained), not to sift through B&M posts every 15 minutes from the same usual suspects.
