I brought some XT bits for my current build last weekend (so 23/24 Aug) and still not sign of them, with the seller not picking up my 'where is my stuff' PM :x

Am I being impatient....... :? Is it just me wanting to get the bike ready for the weekend?

How long should I give it before I say 'bugger it, give me my money back'.

If if i need something quickly i ask if they can post it promptly.

But yeah, that's pushing it. I think within the uk i'd expect stuff to be posted within 3-4 days, so you should receive it within a week, ten days max. Beyond that i start to think where's my stuff.

I generally work on the it gets here when it gets here system. No rush, No stress, No hassle that's the way i live nowadays 8)

I like to think a week max, then PM the seller

If the seller has already posted it - start worrying its lost in post .

I always like to think if I sell something, get it out the same or next day cos I don't own it anymore and someone is waiting for it.

saying that I have a PO over the road unlike most folk :?

I try and get stuff out in next day or two. Sometimes two or three days for post  so week is reasonable.
10 days not excessive, but keep the mails nice. After all, they hold all the cards ;)

There are times when I have been really crap posting something out for various reasons. With work/family and crappy PO hours its easy for a few days to go by where things just overtake you. I do try and communicate though and always answer questions as soon as poss.

whomever buys off me - be prepared to wait...

it'll be worth it, just be patient

however - If I buy anything, it has to be here YESTERDAY!!!

I've been spoilt on here up till now.

The first few bits arrived really quick, and now I'm waiting on a couple of bits that have been a week or so.

I'm getting good seller communication though, so not worried.

Would that be because you havn't found it in a skip yet :?:

Only kidding of course fella

Some people are quick and some are slow, i personally like to post the items i sell next day (keep everyone happy) . . . . Bought some XTR hubs from a fellow Retrobiker in Portugal and they arrived in 4 days (Great Service) and some fellow local retrobikers might aswell strap the gear i buy on the back of a Donkey with a dodgy GPS it takes that long! But most are great :D Swings and roundabouts!

Beginning to think I may have been had......

PM still not picked up, and I've sent an email via their site Profile tab and personal email.

Nothing.

I may be throwing my dummy out of the pram too early, but its the lack of communication that worries me. Every other seller I have dealt with has been ace on the communication front.

I think I'm also worried because I spent a fair amount on money on the gear

Anyone have any experience of dealing with PayPal to get money back if the seller goes AWOL and the goods dont show?
