What's a new kitchen cost?

No idea on the cost of a new kitchen, but so far half a kitchen has cost me:

- 1989 Mavic, Campag and rollercam equipped Dave Yates
- Colnago Master X Light frame, forks and headset
- Pompino complete bike
- Middleburn chainset
- Yo frame, fork and Chris King headset
- 1989 Fire Mountain

Plus a fair few hundred quid.

It better be worth it :evil:

Unless those boxes are full of NOS 80's/90's steel exotica, no!!

I have been told by my better half that our new worktops are going to be about 3k!!

Looks very familiar. I fitted a new kitchen just before Christmas last year. The garage was full of boxes like that plus all the other bits, oven, hob, sink, worktops etc etc etc. The temporary kitchen we made in the dining room made do for 3 days until we could at least start moving stuff back into the kitchen. It is a really good feeling when the boxes start to get less and less. Good luck Ed, and remember to measure twice cut once! Take your time and the end result will be twice as good. The hardest and most important bit is marking out. Find the low and high points in the kitchen first.

I can't believe how much kitchen cabinets cost! It's a bloody racket, in any other room of the house you wouldn't dream of paying the vast sums of money that a wooden box in a kitchen costs.....

[dont forget the quality hinges Ed ]


Soft closers can be retrofitted with a couple of screws and really make a difference to the feel of things ,same with drawer internals for cutlery tools etc
