Me and a friend have an agreement - if we see anything cheap and interesting (bicycle related) we buy it between us.
So he came up with these last week, 3 Raleigh Zeniths, two gents and one ladies, all heavily modified for serious touring.
Apparently the previous owner was a "bit of an engineer" who did all the mods himself.
All converted to 30 gears! (5 speed SA hubs with a 3 cog block at the rear and double rings at the front), home made front and rear pannier racks and drinks systems, dynamo lighting with battery back up etc etc..
I've yet to see them in the flesh but everything in the picture is included, note the unused original rear wheels.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry!
