What years was Joe Murray with Kona?

He left some time in 92

They didn't alter the geo as soon as he left plus the 93 bikes would've been designed in 92. Time for some googling I think :)

the geo changed in 1994 and then stayed the same until after the end of the "retro period"

afaik, no 94 on stuff had Joe Murray marked on it

That's what my hazy memory tells me too! He was involved in 93 range but left some time during 92

Re:

From a What Mountain Bike interview with 'Dr Dew' in March, 2011....

"While today Doug’s job title is, as he puts it, “responsible for almost all the bikes,” he landed the designer role in 1992 when Kona’s initial designer Joe Murray, the guy responsible for Kona’s flagship sloping tube designs, left rather than take on a more corporate role. Doug started implementing his drafting skills on graph paper."

Re:

Joe Murray raced for "The Bicycle Group",,which was Kona,Brodie, and Merlin. He raced on a Brodie.
When The Bicycle Group split up (on bad terms ) the "Joe Murray designed" bikes just happened to have a sloping top tube and the same geometry as the Sovereign he had been racing for the past 2 years.
