What year is this Blizzard?

This is being advertized as a '93 but the paint doesn't match any of the '90s catalogues I found. Has it been resprayed or was this an optional paint job? The seatstay-seat tube junction looks more like a '94.

Thanks in advance,

Ted

Paint looks like 93 to me, with different top and downtube stickers. The originals covered the white/black fade.

Difficult one. It's not a '93 as you indicated it has a different seatstay/tube junction. It's not a '94 either, judging from the cable guiding. Maybe a '93 Equipe or Hammer?

Can only see on my phone so not a great pic to go off, but...
My guess is 93 with a post 94 decal set
What size seatpin is it?
27.0??
I could be wrong (and often are), but its only true temper Blizzards with this size post.

My old 93...

I hadn't realized that the white panels surrounding the make and model letters were decals on the '93 Blizzard. I'll go test ride this bike and measure the seatpost diameter.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Have a look at the serial underneath the bottom bracket. Ideally, make a pic of it. It might reveal it's true identity! And difficult to see from the pic, but check if there are fender eyelets on the rear stays.

Paint screams 93. The one proper handbuilt decal also does at the rear of the top tube. The model top tube and brand down tube decals aren't correct.

This one is NOT a 93. 93 was the year they went with fastback seat stays. this one has wishbone, which was 92 and earlier. unless this was a unique in-between. :?

I'm not seeing a monostay anywhere...
Cable stops look a little deceiving until you realise its routed around the headtube differently for the sti's.
It looks 95% the same as mine apart from the decals. Mine were full wraparounds.

Perhaps the fastback stays is a red herring- maybe its just a frame size dependant thing where they join :?:

yes sorry, taking a closer look at your picture, i see there's an extra long cable run from the top tube stop to the seat stay stop, which casted a shadow breaking the highlight, that makes it look like a wishbone.

I agree the bike in the OP looks like the '93 with new paint.

My 1992 is 27.0 and tange prestige concept tubing so seatpost size won't help ID year. In another thread someone was saying that '93 may have been the only year they were made in Canada so the serial number should give it away.
