I've recently put some Michelin Pro4 Endurance on my Witcomb and used them for a tour - fast rolling and not a single cut in them in 200 miles. They look to be a decent alternative.

even the 32mm wire bead one rides nice. And, while its not gumwall, they do have a brown wall. The 28mm one will be marginally lighter and faster, though ive not noticed that much difference.
Might be a bit skiddy if youre planning to go off road though, as its essentially a road tyre
