What size are my cones?

Shimano Stx, dating from about 97 or 98, what size are the cones?

if you go into your local shimano service centre they will have the big book of spare shimano and if you tell the part code of the hub or show them the hub they'll beable to get or maybe have the right ones for you. i keep a buch of general cones for various hubs in stock.

I just want to know to buy a cone wrench, not actual cones.

usually 13mm for the cone, 17mm for the locknut. 3/16 balls

and the rear 15mm for the cone and 17mm for the locknut.1/4 balls

you can get cone spanners that have all sizes between both ends, if you see what I mean. They start wide and narrow to smaller size.
