what pedals are these please?

Its not often this happens but can anyone identfy these for me?

Shimano cleats fit after a fashion, as long as you dont mind the gunshot like sound as you clip in.

I dont think they are anything special

Anything on the dustcap?

Possibly something from VP?
They seem to make more pedals than shimano, time and look combined.

Problem is that there are hundreds of subtly different but almost identical SPD a like pedals around.
And some of the manufacturers seem to change their entire model line up every couple of years, so even a 10 year old pair might be impossible to find. (and then they reuse the model name as well.......)

VXE or M31 are the nearest i can find in todays VP line up......
