What model of Peugeot is this?

Bassman1985

Retro Newbie
Hi everyone. I have had this bike in my possession for a while now which used to belong to my dad. He says he got it new either in or around 1992 and had it refinished in a Jaguar green colour a few years later.

Can anyone tell me what kind of model it is and if it is definitely 1992? It has Shimano RX100 components, Omega R CLB brakes, Cinelli Criterium handlebars. The wheels are Campagnolo Omegas but I believe they were added after purchase. One of the main points that stands out for me in identifying it is the rear brake cable being fed inside the top tube.

I actually just put an order in for a new Specialized Allez at a local shop and started cleaning this one up to sell it. It cleaned up so nicely that I am thinking of keeping it and cancelling my order! It still needs a bit of TLC and maybe a refinish, there are a few spots of rust where the paint has chipped away. What do you think of it? (Apologies for the hipster brick wall shots!)

could be a carbolite with internal lugs . not sure if those had concealed rear brake cable though.

no question - keep it.!

In case there's any confusion, my dad is still in the land of the living and currently rides a Specialized Venge. I asked him what I should do with his old bike and he said to burn it...i'm sure he was joking but it is for sure that he has no sentimentality towards it!

that's just me though
i have a split cane fly rod Dad used when we went fishing together
mint ''Scottie'' by Sharpes of Aberdeen, all original
