What model frame and fork is this? Proflex and Girvin conten

Just bought this and not sure what model it is?

Proflex Animal obviously but it has a carbon swing arm ? All the other I can see are alloy.

The forks are also carbon and can’t find much info on them either.

I can only assume that a previous owner has pimp'd it up.

Hi, theres a Proflex catalogue in the forum Archive section I believe, yours is probably a 1996. I'm not sure if the carbon Girvin Crosslink forks were original, they're likely an upgrade, a good one though

Forks are Noleen/ Girvin Carbon Crosslinks, Carbon rear swing arm appears on a Proflex 857 onwards. ( I have an 857 in red). Looks like an 857 but a special edition Animal paint. Don't question what it is, just revel in it's loveliness

Yep, Animal with upgraded swingarm and forks.

Was watching this also, you got it for a good price in the end. If all the linkages on the forks are ok you should get your money back on just the forks wheels and crank :xmas-cool:

If and when you sell the forks im interested definitely. Been looking for a good pair for months.
Was tempted by some In the US, but couldn't trust the seller. Much rather buy from trusted source...

Im really surprised it went so cheaply. Especially since the chainset, wheels and forks are really sweet.

Goes to show that now and again there is bargains to be had even on eBay!
