What makes a great BOTM?

So I need a different rare period correct well restored well photographed pristine Klein that's just been ridden?

This formula doesn't take into account rallying troops to vote (for you as well as/instead of the bike).

Looking back at the last 12 months winners, it's blatantly obvious that block voting is key, not the bike.

Gosh! You're rigght; A Klein hasn't won for over two years!
Maybe next month should be a coke can special?

No idea, I don't bother with that sillyness now.

It used to be attention to detail on a well thought out bike for me. Wrong length cables for the style of bike or no oedals instantly looses it. Batters and scrapes didnt matter, in fact I preferred them. But that's me.

I'm now liking the pics in PotM, some are great, some have nowt to do with the theme, some are crap too. Some I've even taken, Some I just don't get and there is certainly some favouritism block voting* happening but hey ho in there it doesn't matter as the pics are just nice to look at whatever :-D

*to be honest the winners do tend to have really good photos ;-)

So forget BotM, get over to PotM and bring back the Coolwall.

I tend to vote for something i've always wanted, usually cos its rare and well out of my price range. A good photo is a must but I don't care if its ridden or not.

I never vote for a previous winner regardless of the bike or the person.

Don't ask me, my dbr go no votes when I entered it.

Seems that kleins, rare bikes or period correct win most of the time, along with impressive restorations.

Entered a few Klein's until now, but no (big) success yet

I only vote for the bike which i like, don't bother about history or owner....

Well I vote for the bike , the one I'd most like to have a blast on , isn't that how it should be done ?
Mike

I vote for the bike I would like to own. I generally won't vote Klein, or for a "studio photo". A bike is for riding IMO. It just has to be right, and ready to do battle with the trails. Owner doesn't come into it
