What is this (nicely spec’d) alloy mtb I just bought?

Anyone recognise what this could be? It’s got mostly M950 XTR parts (even down to the outer cables) but also some low end bits and pieces too.. Is the S-Works crankset a clue? Or a red herring?

The frame has the look of a later 1990s Carrera Vulcan, although I don't think it is.

Cable routing is wrong for something lkea Rockhopper.

The decal says Kinesis, could be a Kinesis Coyote, albeit the kit has been swapped about a little.

What does the chainstay bridge look like? The S-bend stays are reminiscent of DBR and Schwinn.
