What is this bike and is it worth owt?

Was given this by my neighbour as he was clearing out his garage, the bars are in need of attention.
Steel, Reynolds 531 tubing, fully rigid, Deore LX everything, but what is it and is it worth owt?

British eagle summit, Deore LX stuff is all original.

worth keeping for a retro ride but I'm thinking money value is low, you would get more money parting it out if you decide to sell it on.

I don't know much about these things but my mate had a Raleigh Summit in 1991. Came with Rockshox Mag20's I think and was in a purple/blue splatter paint... could it be that rather than British Eagle?

It was a reasonable frame back in the day - not cheap, especially with the Rockshox, but my mate said it used to flex a lot!
