What is the most innovative bike bodge you've ever done?

My mrs has a nexen 3 speed felt cruiser and the sprung pin that changes the gear in the hub broke, leaving the bike in the easiest gear so she was riding at about 3mph.i cut down a drill bit to try and hold it in 2nd or 3rd and to my utter amazement it not only worked, its got the gears working again too!

BITD we were doing a Repack run when one of the guys folded up the front wheel on his clunker. So to get home we spread the fork blades a bit and connected it to the back end of another bike's rear axle, tightened up the bolts, and with a now articulated Tandem, we rode home!

A landrover tie rod split pin that ended up in my wallet mixed in loose change and Matt Browns key ring off his front door key.... These items combined held Matt's lower jockey wheel in place for the rest of the ride.

My PK Ripper ( Skip Find) is a bodge from start to finish.

Firstly the seat post clamp was broken. so hacksawed a slit through the seat stay and drilled through a to fit a QR bolt.

This was all done at the age of 17 when i had no engineering experience.
so please for give me in advance for the crimes below.

The seat post is a micro adjust bored out to fit the std PK's post. no glue, just heated the ally and froze the post.

The forks a rc30's chopped down.

The hubs are old skool rc 50's the rear one has beed modded to fit a screw on axle to stop it slipping.

the rear brake setup is and old set of hydra stops mounted using 2 brake boosters.

The entire setup is such a sweet ride and has never failed me.
though it is no garage queen i must admit.
