What headset do I need?

Or find a headset lock ring to use as a spacer...or as a last ditch if 38 is too tall...cut 2mm off the threads.

I wouldn't recommend putting a hanger into a headset. It puts all the wrong forces on all the wrong threads. Either get a stem with a hanger built in, or put a hanger on the quill above the headset.

seems I have 2 options

1 1/8
30mm crown race
38mm stack

Go for the falcon its probably better quality. You might just need a spacer ( an old lock ring is perfect ).

So…it seems that this headset (in black) is actually 38mm stack (the same as the silver version)

SJS cycles measured it for me.

It seems every place on the internet listed it incorrectly
