What headset do I need?

As splatter paint said....

Then measure the fork from the seat of the crown race to the top of the threads....then take away the frame dimension....thats your stack.

A new crown race will come with the new headset...they are not interchangeable (or for this purpose they are not!).

You need to take the race off and measure the diameter to determine if ISO or JIS.

Seems to be ever so slightly thicker at the bottom where the race would sit (30mm)

The rest of the tube is 28mm

So its 1 1/8" not 1" headset.

In theory, but i always allow a couple of mm on the stack. Else, you may need a spacer as the steerer thread may run out at the top of the fork before its tight.
