What front mech is this?

Does anyone know?

It's a bit too modern for my knowledge. It came off my partners hardrock, which I have just replaced with a rockhopper, but the seat tube is a different diameter. The whole groupset is the same so i would ideally like to swap this for one the right size, only I don't know what model it is :?

Assuming it's Shimano, it should have a part number on the back of the cage, beginning FD-M...

Yaeh, sorry just realised that I reduced the file size twice by accident!

It has a great big "A" behind the shimano, so I'm guessing Alivio or something?

Yeah, 1999 or later Alivio. What diameter do you need? I'm pretty sure i've got one somewhere.

I've got a spare Acera x[what a strange thing to call it ,wonder what it means]i've got 1 in 31.8 bottom pull
And a suntour 1 for md[less that 48t] top pull ,again 31.8

undo the adjusters on the front mech and you'll be able to replace the plastic bit to say any model you want.

Ok, so it looks like it's Alivio then. FD-MC14, earlier than I thought too.

Does anyone have one in34.9mm size, bottom pull flavour? Mine is a 31.8mm?

I'll bung a WTD post in there if those that have already offered don't have what I'm looking for.
