 had a long walk friday after a proper front wheel punture, I was just wondering Does everyone carry the gear for such things? Not talking proper days out... more your regular route rides.

Always take 1 tube,2 co2 cannisters and a multitool, tyre levers depending on tyre/rim.For longer rides 2 tubes,2 co2,multitool,mini pump and park patches.Oh and a chainpin.I take a mobile phone in case of really bad luck, although these are useless in some areas.Been running latex in my tubeless tyres recently and this seems to have cut down on punctures no end.Had long walks home before, they are a drag!

I've been experimenting with slime tubes lately.....I've found that I still need to carry a pump, the thorns round here are fearsome  .....I had a through and through last week that killed even a slime tube....just about got enough air into it to get me home.

As a minimum I'd say carry a pump/CO2 and a repair kit/spare tube and a multi-tool so you can tighten up those Retro bits

Usual multi tool, tubes, pump and first aid kit. First aid kit used more times than anything else  (not always on me luckily)

1 slime tube
tyres levers
patch kit
chain tool
shock pump
pump
small compass
spare chain links and powerlinks
whistle
powerbars or similar
zip ties
spare cash
2l of fluids
foldaway waterproof jacket

(all above in camelbak lobo)
