Barry's book is called Watching The Wheels Go Round, IIRC. Must admit, I've yet to track that one down. I also keep meaning to give Hugh Porter's book a look over one of these days.
Vintage caps - definitely a good thing. Although I approve of most modern racing kit, I can't be doing with those baseball-cap style team hats that seem to dominate these days (let's face it, baseball caps didn't do William Hague any favours, did they?). I have a yellow cotton Campag one at home which is 20+ years old now, but looking a bit sun-faded.
