What colour hubs/ rims...?

I have just bought a set of Hope Pro2/ Mavic XC717 wheels... need to decide what colour hubs & rims I want now...

Frame is red (A retroish Foes FXC)
Forks, headset, post bars etc are all black.
Cranks, cassette, chain mechs and shifters are silver (or grey)
Brakes will be Black Hopes with Goodridge hoses

Am I completely wrong in wanting Silver hubs and silver rims? Every modern bike has black rims & hubs and I am inclined to be different just for the sake of it sometimes- BUT will it look crap?!

Of course the other options are Red hubs or black hubs.

I see HarryBurgndys Kish has Silver hubs and black rims that looks cool- maybe I should go for that....

I am just thinking out loud now#

Opinions appreciated chaps and any photos of modern bikes with silver rims appreciated also!

Post a current picture of the bike as is.

I'd be inclined to go Silver/Silver (it's cheaper as well)

Bike is at resprayers- and i dont have any pics...

see cat pic below mine will be built with a similar spec.

I am going for silver hubs but I am still undecided on rim colour.
Silver to match the hubs and running gear or black to match the tyres...

Black rims, silver hubs and silver spokes. Coloured nipps but not red. Always think that the ano colour and the same painted colour don't go too well.

Possibly gold nipps and a gold chain but don't go gold mad.
